My World: New blog

I created a new blog, and it's a little bit more personal. Unlike this blog, it won't contain posts like Movieblog, Newspaper Headline and Onboard a Flight. I made a more personal blog because I think this blog is a bit too serious and formal. Whatever.

I started customizing my new blog last night. Midnight. And I had a hard time looking for a picture that best represents my blog as my header. The one that I used is like a painting-style, abstract image. Btw, I named my new blog The Chronicles because I will be story-telling every happening in my life there. It will somehow be my diary/journal.

Currently, I have one post there which I made last night right after I finished customizing my blog. Now, my blog's design is similar to this blog. But, it's no longer a plain black and white template. I added more colors in shades of green and red. Just to make it more lively. I'll try to add more color to it, because it still looks so plain and dull.

Please help me find pictures or suggest art websites, photo sharing websites etc for a better header. And I'll also be open for opinions and suggestions to make my blog look better.

Just because I had a new blog, this won't mean that this blog will be dead. I will still post things here. But, it'll be mostly about travel guides, movie opinions and current events. All my personal stories will be posted on my new blog. So, just keep in touch on both my blogs. Feel free to follow my new one.

My World: Stored Words

Hi guys. As you've noticed, I haven't been posting frequently as much as I would like to. So, for that, sorry. I can't post too regularly because first, school's back and we're always loaded with homeworks and other school stuffs and had no time for lurking around the net/ using the computer. Next, our desktop broke down for some freaking unknown reasons. It just won't turn on :( consequently, we can't connect to the internet and all. Then, we just realized that we can plug the internet into the laptop without using the desktop. Okay. Cause we're that smaaart. So, right now, I can use my laptop and post frequently like last time.

And oh, I started my swimming exercise last month. And it's scheduled every weekend. Even though, sometimes I fail to attend to it because of laziness. It's every morning at about 8am - 8:30am, so as not to conflict with other things to do in the weekend. Then, we were informed just last month that my brother's getting married this August. I was happy and shocked. :) And excited as well. So, last weekend we started ordering all the clothes and other things that we need. We also scheduled the size measurements for the tailoring of the suits, polos, etc.

We found a small snake in our dirty kitchen the other day. (i know most of you won't care about this haha) It was raining and our kitchen is kind of wet. Since, it's cold, maybe the snake decided to stay in the place hahaha. I don't know. I was curious and amazed. It was the first time that I saw a snake in our house. So, I first saw it in the folded wood chair leaning on the wall. It's head is clearly seen on the wall because the wall is white and its head is dark. So, I came closer for a better look. At first, I thought it was a rope. Since, it's night time and it's dark, I didn't clearly imaged its look. Then, I called my father to check it out. Unfortunately, he didn't entertained me because he's on the computer (wtf). Alright, after dinner, I was washing the dishes. I gave our dog water. When I was reaching out for the bottle of water, I saw the snake on the tray (where the bottle was put) rolled up in spirals staring at me. I called my mom (not my father hahahaha). She reacted like "woah" and "omg" when she saw the snake. She grabbed a large kitchen knife. I asked her what on earth is she doing and replied she's going to kill the snake. And I said no. I called on my father and he put the snake on a plastic jar and gave it to our neighbor. Funny. But creepy. But funny. And creepy. Funny.

Next, I am quite getting lazy towards school this past few days. I'm not opening my books whenever there's quizzes and tests. I like cramming before the actual quiz. And the other day, I presented a poem for a school project and my teacher was like "Did you make this by yourself?", "Really? Prove it.", "No I don't believe you". And I was like "Fine, stfu.", "You don't? Okay.", "Just give me the f*cking grade and shut your fat mouth". Not to be harsh or anything, but I was quite annoyed and depressed. Because, everyone knows how hard it is to make a poem. I even made it extra long and that's the reaction I can get? But, now, I don't think about it. I just want you guys to know and I just want to share it. I'm not angry to the teacher or what. We're cool. Maybe someday, I'll post the poem here. And you guys judge.

Last, this is about school again. Last week, I was scolded by a teacher because my seatmate was asking something and he caught us talking to each other. And he, then, transferred me into a seat far from my original one. And said some out-of-the-topic and untrue words. He's always like that. Acting like the boss. Acting like the lord. Crazy. Crazy, is he. Again, I ain't angry. I just want to let it out.

   ATTENTION ALL WIZARDS AND WITCHES. Of course, we're all been waiting for this last installment of this film based on J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. At first, when I heard that this film was coming out on theaters, I felt sad and excited. (everybody did, I think.) Sad, because it's the last book/chapter and after it, no more Harry Potter. Of course, it won't vanish completely in our hearts, will it? But, I don't want to make this post all sad and teary. Okay, I felt excited because since this is the last and final film, it'll be a great blast and action-packed. (all that spells and charms flying around. lol) The film was started by the trio talking to Griphook, an employee at Gringotts Wizarding bank. I won't spoil the movie for those who haven't watch it yet haha. So, I'll just go with my reaction. Reaction, okay, I became so amazed to the students of Hogwarts, how they defended the school during the battle of Hogwarts. And also, with the scenarios of the trio in search of the 7 Horcruxes: Tom Riddle's diary (destroyed in The Chamber of Secrets), The Gaunt Ring (destroyed in The Half-Blood Prince), Slytherin's Locket (destroyed in The Deathly Hallows: Pt. 1), Hufflepuff's Goblet (destroyed in the Deathly Hallows: Pt. 2), Ravenclaw's Diadem (destroyed in The Deathly Hallows: Pt. 2), Nagini (destroyed/killed in the Deathly Hallows: Pt. 2), Harry Potter. When Voldemort killed Lily Potter, mother of Harry Potter, his spell bounced back into him and part of his soul left his body. Automatically, its soul, then, finds the nearest living thing for it to reside. And, Harry was the nearest living thing. So, part of Voldemort was in Harry (giving Harry the lightning bolt scar), making him one of the seven horcruxes. Generally, the whole movie was about the search of the 7 Horcruxes in order to kill The Dark Lord.

My World: The Family Outing

Okay, so, last Saturday (4 Jun 2011) we went to Pansol, Laguna. Some of you can't recognize the place. Pansol, Laguna is a summer spot in the Philippines. Most of the houses there have swimming pools, lots of rooms and are for rent. It's like a private resort. It is actually an overnight trip. It's a good place for the last summer vacay of 2011 </3

We left the house at about 4:00 PM last Saturday and arrived at the destination at about 6:00 PM. The way going there was in a heavy traffic that day. Fortunately, we brought our dog with us that's why it's not at all boring. We stopped over for some snacks in a food chain. Then, hit the road again. Rest of our family are in another car and we didn't get there the same time. Other relatives took a night swimming in the pool. We also have two cute babies on the trip who happens to be my grandchildren (?) -.- I don't know how that happened but our family tree is so messy (lol) and I can barely understand it. Okay, going back, our first night was spent by putting all our things up in the room. There were three rooms. One with 2 double deck bed and a single one. One room with two double decks. And the other one with 1 double deck and a single. For me and my mom, we spent the first night by eating junkfoods, Lmao. It just so happen that I became soooo lazy to change clothes to my swimming wear. :> My bro, me and my mom played billiards instead.

The next day, we planned to take the 10:00 AM mass since it's Sunday. I still didn't swam on a Sunday morning because of this freaking lazy butt =.= lol. Anyway, we ate rice, bacon, egg and hotdogs for breakfast. The two babies sang and danced which made all very happy and laughing. They were so cute while doing it. :))

After the mass, I soaked my self in the pool for like 4 hours. After that, we ate spaghetti for snacks then played billiards again :> Luckily, the weather started raining when we are about to go home. I think it was 6:00 PM when we left the resort. My step-brother gave us computer games (CD's). I was really happy when I saw the Roller Coaster Tycoon. Hahaha. I know it's a late issue but, I really had a hard time trying to download this game on my laptop. I think you need to buy it first. Going back, on the way going home, it was raining hard and the traffic was heavier. We stopped for snacks again on a pie store. It was actually a "Buko Pie". It is coconut pie. Then hit the road. I didn't know what happened next I fell asleep. lol. I always do. When I woke up, we were home already. Ate barbeque for dinner then slept. We were all flat tired.

Onboard a Flight: Singapore

It is officially called the Republic of Singapore. It's located in Southeast Asia. It is close to Malaysia and Indonesia, and is separated by Straits of Johor and Singapore Strait respectively. It is highly urbanised and a little area of rainforest remains. Singapore is a Parliamentary Republic. It is one of the Four Asian Tigers with Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan. Four Asian Tigers of Asian Dragons are the highly-developed countries in Asia.

We went there last summer and we were amazed by the cleanliness of the country. Hats off to all Singaporeans and it's government!

WHAT TO SEE:
Since Sentosa is also part of Singapore, but, in a different Island, I'll divide this part into two: Singapore and Sentosa. Just to be more convenient and organized.

SINGAPORE

Geylang Serai Market

Geylang Serai Market. It is located five minutes away from MRT Paya Lebar. It sells Middle Eastern products such as spices, medicines, batiks, scarves, cosmetics, vegetables and fresh food. There are also exotic products like snakes and turtle shells. A food court is also located in the area.

Marina Bay Sands Casino

Marina Bay Sands Casino. Located 10-15 minutes from Changi International Airport and near the Merlion Park. This is one of Asia's top tourist spots. It is also a destination for people especially for casino players.

Mama Merlion

Baby Merlion

Merlion Park. It is the country's popular symbol. It is close to Marina Bay Sands Casino. The Casino can be viewed from there. It is along Marina Bay. The Park is a good place for picture taking. Both Mama and Baby Merlions are placed in the park.

Raffles Hotel

Raffles Hotel. It is probably one of the most expensive hotels in the country. It has 100+ suites and boutiques. It also has the Raffles Museum that exhibits Singapore's beauty and its history. We passed by this hotel while in a city tour and I heard big celebrities once stayed in this hotel like Michael Jackson.

Singapore Flyer. It sits atop a three-storey terminal with an exciting array of retail and F&B outlets. Surrounded by more than 200m of uninterrupted sea frontage, Singapore Flyer offers one of the best waterfront dining experiences. Before you board, you can get an in-flight compass that points directions of Sentosa, Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, Vietnam, China, Changi Airport, Marina Barrage, Marina Bay Golf Course, Gardens by the Bay, Merlion, The Float at Marina Bay, Esplanade and many more. It also opens a great chance to take pictures AROUND the city.

Esplanade

Esplanade - Theaters on the Bay. It is a beautiful waterside building located on six hectares of waterfront land near the mouth of the Singapore River, built to be the center for performing arts for the island nation of Singapore. It contains a 1,600 seat concert hall and a 2,000 seat theatre for the performing arts.

National Orchid Garden

National Orchid Garden. It is one of the stops of our city tour and there, you can see flowers, orchids and other plants. It is a perfect place for nature lovers and for some photographers.

Night Safari. You can do many things in there such as Creatures of the Night Show, Tribal Dance Performance, Tram Ride, Walking Trails, Wildlife Conservation Efforts, and others. There are also lots of souvenir shops, dining facilities and a fish spa. Once you arrive in the area, it will be easy to do these things because the receiving area is quite small and the management crews and staff are very accessible and open for questions and guide. Note: taking pictures while in the tram ride is strictly prohibited because you might scare all the nocturnal animals.

SENTOSA

Merlion Walk. While the Mama and Baby Merlions are located in Merlion Park, Singapore, this Papa Merlion is in Sentosa. To get to Papa Merlion, from Singapore, take a bus to VivoCity or Harbour Front (the last bus station) then take Sentosa Express (train). Go down to Imbiah Station then from there you can easily track Papa Merlion. I suggest you get an Island Map for an easier trip.


Siloso Beach

Mega Zip Adventure Park. It is Asia's most extreme zip line. It runs 450m long, 75m high at the speed of 50kmph. By riding these, you can have a bird's eye view of the beach and forest. It is from Imbiah Hill to Siloso Beach. From Siloso Beach, you can take a free ride going up again from where you came from before riding.

Climb Max. It is also located at Adventure Park together with Mega Zip. It is like walking through a rope/wire while holding a wire on top. Of course, for the safety, you will be wearing harness.

Para Jump. It is also in Adventure Park. Para Jump, Climb Max and Mega Zip are all in one tower. But, I suggest that you try Climb Max and Para Jump first because unlike Mega Zip, you won't be landing in Siloso Beach rather in the same tower. So, you won't be wasting time going down then up again if you try Mega Zip first.

Tiger Sky Tower. It is a big round cabin going up and down the tower in slow speeds to give you a nice view around Sentosa and a great opportunity to take lots of pictures. Example is the picture of Papa Merlion placed above. You can see the whole Sentosa from there. It is only a brief walk from Papa Merlion. The Island Map will help you.

Cine Blast. If you're tired of walking around Sentosa, you can try these. These are all 4D experiences namely, Pirates, Extreme Log Ride and Desperados. Pirates is a 4D movie with effects like spiders crawling on your feet, air blowing to your face and others. Extreme Log Ride gives you the illusion of riding a log/roller coaster. You'll ride a small cabin that moves in different directions that makes the movie look real. Desperados is riding a horse ride while shooting enemies on the screen. This is a contest, and the person with the highest points wins. The winner will be shown in the big screen. You can buy three tickets for all these three shows at once for less hastle. You can also buy souvenir photos on the way out.

This is how the bus looks like. It has assigned colors for every location.

Songs of the Sea. It is a nice show of the combination of water and laser lights. It also has musical parts. In the island map, it is in Beach Station. You can ride a bus with the right bus number to go there.

Underwater World. It is a sea lion and dolphin show. It is close to all other attractions so going there is easy.

Universal Studios. I suggest you go here on a different day than the rest of Sentosa's attraction because you'll need a whole day to enjoy the park. It is a theme park showing how all the movies are made. You can buy ticket online or directly at the ticket booth in the park's entrance. But, I recommend buying tickets online for less hastle. A lot of people will be going through the ticket booths and you will waste time falling in line. If you buy ticket online, you'll have a print out of somewhat a document then you'll give that paper to the offices in the basement of the entrance then they will exchange that document for a ticket. You can ask directions from the park personnel to guide you to the offices. There are seven sections in the park: The Lost World, Madagascar, Far Far Away, Ancient Egypt, Sci-Fi City, New York and Hollywood. There are many shows along the roads of the park especially at the afternoon/evening.

In Singapore, I suggest you join a city tour for easier transportation to all attractions. You can also get a map from the airport. In Sentosa, ride the Sentosa Express. To go to Sentosa Express' station, take a bus ride to Vivo City/Harbour Front (the last bus station). It is somehow like a mall. The station is on the 2nd or 3rd floor, I think. You can ask for directions. The personnel will be very open.

HOW TO GET THERE:

You can take a plane ride from your country going to Singapore (Changi Airport) then take a taxi or a service (if your hotel has one) going downtown to your hotel.

Fragrance Hotel: Emerald. This is where we stayed. But, it is infront of a red district so it might not be appropriate for other tourists.

If you are on a budget, you can stay in Fragrance Hotel. It is quite cheap but very clean and nice. There are different branches of this hotel in different places like Emerald, Ruby and etc. If you don't like the location, you can try other branches of the hotel. It also offers service shuttles in some attractions so it's very hastle-free and easy.

Newspaper Headline: Girl found dead in Boracay

17-year-old girl, April Lyn Tana, was found dead inside a cave in Sitio Bulabog, Barangay Balabag in the island of Boracay. Authorities noticed that the girl's face was somehow deformed and that some of her clothes were missing. They are on a search for the girl's companions before the said incident and for possible witnesses. Her body is scheduled for an autopsy. Her parents said they last saw their daughter at home last Thursday morning. She often goes to the island with her friends, they added.

I was really shocked when I read the news on Twitter after its airing on television. We just got to Boracay last month and this news came up. I'm thankful we already left the island before this because if not, I'm not sure if we can still enjoy our stay knowing about this incident. This incident might scare some tourists. I'm sad to say this, but, based on the scene (face deformed; some clothes missing) I think Tana was raped. :( Condolence for April's family. Let us pray for her soul.

Onboard a Flight: Cagayan de Oro, Philippines

It is my province. We usually go there every summer so I'm kind of familiar in it. It's fun there.

WHAT TO SEE:

It has night cafes, stalls, and other shopping havens especially in the center of the city. Aside from that, you can also try River Rafting. I tried this one when I was 9. It is enjoying and you can really feel the adrenaline while going through big rocks and rapids.

From Mnl (NAIA, Ninoy Aquino International Airport), it's a 1hr 30min plane ride going to Cgy (Lumbia Airport). Lumbia Airport is close to the city so it's easily accessible to hotels, malls and other places.

Onboard a Flight: Baguio City, Philippines

Known as the Summer Capital of the Philippines and City of Pines, the city probably has the lowest temperature in the country. It is one of the most popular and most visited places especially during hot summer days. It is quite far from the country's center.

WHAT TO SEE:

Lion's Head

Lion's Head. It is located along the Kennon Road on the way to Baguio City. It is a 40-foot head of a lion that is carved by a local artist. Some tourists stop by this attraction to take picures.

Philippine Military Academy

Philippine Military Academy. Sometimes called PMA. This is a training ground for officers for the AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines). Tourists take pictures of its vistas.

The Mansion

Mansion House. It is the President of the Philippines' second official residence. It is also a place where international conferences of meetings are held. It is also a working office of the president. Entry to this place's compound is prohibited but you can view the mansion from its gate.

Camp John Hay

Camp John Hay. It is a former American recreational facility and is currently a beautiful resort. It has golf courses, skating rink, picnic areas, restaurants, cottages to accomodate tourists and others.

Mines View Park

Mines View Park. Simple. From its name, "Mines" because gold, silver and other minerals were once quarried from there. And, "View" because from there you can see Baguio's mountain ranges.

HOW TO GET THERE:

Loakan Airport

By air. There's Loakan Airport in Baguio City but only small planes are allowed to operate on the said airport because the runway is not long enough for large commercial planes. It is also used by helicopters, LBJs and others.

Kennon Road

By land. There are three main roads that lead to Baguio City namely, Kennon Road, Aspiras-Palispis Highway (formerly Marcos Highway), Naguilian Road, a.k.a. Quirino Highway. For tourists who don't have their private vehicles or with vehicles which are not appropriate for going up stiff cliffs, the most popular used transportation is by bus.

WHERE TO STAY:

When we visited Baguio years ago, we stayed in our family's friend's resthouse. She's not using it so she permitted us to stay there while in the city. My World: A supposed-to-be Outing

Me, my bro and my dad was supposed to go on an outing to Cavite's Mini Boracay. Boracay Island was featured on my "To the Beach" post. Going back, Cavite's Mini Boracay is located in Ternate, Cavite. I heard it is in Marine Camp and it is restricted to other visitors unless these visitors have a connection inside the camp. I don't know why it is restricted. Probably, because it is a camp of the American Army. Okay, my dad is the president of our phase and the officers, decided to go to an outing just to unwind and relax.

I said was supposed to go because we didn't. My brother had Non-specific Viral Exanthem. It was like measles and the doctors found it hard to distinguish so it is called non-specific. So, the doctors advised my brother not to go out for a while. And in that reason, we didn't get to join the outing.

I was happy and sad about that. Happy, because I was really thinking about that outing, thinking we're joining it, days before the set date. Why? Because our company are the neighborhood and the pastoral members in the church. I don't know most of them because I do not hang out often. (hahaha) And I was imagining my self being a total loner during the outing sitting on a chair talking to the wall. Okay, whatever. I was sad because I got a little, little excited about this because even though the school's coming soon, we can still have one more vacation. Plus, I really enjoyed our stay in the island of Boracay last month and it was called "Mini Boracay" so I thought I would enjoy it also.

Since we didn't go, I searched for some pictures of the camp and I was like WOW when I saw the pictures.

Okay, today is just another boring day. Waking up in the morning, eating breakfast, watching tv until it's lunch time then you eat, watch tv again then dinner, then sleep. That's why sometimes I stay on bed in the morning for like an hour even though I'm awake just to kill ~~nothing-to-do~~ times. I watch action movies, play with legos, draw on every paper I see then cut it into a million pieces, rip all used folders, and all sorts of baby stuff. That's all I can do when bored. I'm also trying to sleep in the afternoon which normally, I don't do, and I end up sitting in front of the television. I'm online for the whole day. And it sucks when I'm left alone in the house, doing nothing. I think I want to go to school :S But, my dog gives me a little happy time because she likes playing and playing for her is biting and biting for me is annoying so the result is I stop playing with her which for her is biting and which for me is annoying so it's not a happy hour. asdfghjkl. O.O

Okay, few days ago, I created another blog out of boredom. I was really thinking what's this blog about. I decided it to be somehow like a travel guide. You know, it helps people on their trip. "Must-see's" on a place, hotels and other things. If you have read my "About Me" I said there that I like traveling so I think this is the best blog for me. But, I won't be posting frequently on that blog because all my posts are about places that I've been to last year or two. I can't be on vacation most of the time because I am still a student and my vacation comes twice a year, maybe.

My World: Last Night :|

As seen on the title, this won't be happy. This is about what happened last night and it is very sad and disappointing. We were eating on a rainy evening - my father, my mother and I. Something went on my mind. We have plans of installing an exhaust fan between my parents' room and mine. Since, I don't have an aircon, it's what we decided to put. And, air coolers consume a lot of electricity. We were all thinking of who can make a hole in the wall to fit the exhaust. My dad suggested our neighbor who does a lot of carpentry, woodwork, etc. So, I asked my dad if he is good. I didn't mean anything on that question. I simply asked if he was. Suddenly, SUDDENLY, my dad, like, exploded and started shouting. He exclaims that we are insulting our neighbor who is his friend. I can't really explain exactly what he said but, his point was his friend also knows anything else besides cooking (they're business is cooking). He also said that we don't trust him and things like that. My mom answered and there they go. The conversation flew very far away from what I SIMPLY asked. My problem is how can my simple question grew big into a fight. They acted like kids last night. Worse thing is they fought while we were in the middle of dinner. All I thought in that time was, "Is this what they're showing in front of their children?". I know we also have our own loss or things we lack in being good kids but it's kind of awkward and bad for children seeing their parents fight. They were saying bad words, etc. I felt sad because I don't want to see my parents fight. I only wished to see them happy. Our family happy. And I felt disappointed because I always knew them as the greatest parents in the world. Yes, I know we should understand things like what happened last night because we are already big and we have better understandings on mature stuff. I'm sorry I had to let this out on my blog. I just feel better if I tell this to people. :( I hope this will be okay soon. I know it will. I mean, the root of the conversation's a very small thing.

Opinion:

First, I'm quite confused. Because the third part, Tokyo Drift, seemed lost in the film. I mean, the 4th part didn't followed the 3rd one. But, the 4th and 5th parts were in a series. Second, Han Lue (Sung Kang) died in Tokyo Drift when his car blows up. How can he be in Fast & Furious 4 and 5?

These are my positive comments. First, I like how the movie shows a little bit of comedy. Second, I like the cast. (Diesel, Walker, Brewster, Gadot, Kang, Gibson, etc) Third, the recruitment thing makes the movie livelier. It's fun to see a team.

Favorite parts: 1. When Brian and Mia help Dominic escape while in custody. 2. When Dominic, Brian and Mia with other guys steal the cars on the train. 3. When the three recruited the other members. 4. When Gisele gets close to Señor Reyes only to get a handprint. 5. Brian and Dom gets the vault with their cars and goes into pursuit with cops.

My World: To the Beach!

Summer 2011 is one of the most enjoyable. First, it is our first summer vacation together. I mean, the whole family. Most of the time, my father prefers to be home for our pet. Since we'll all be going on a trip, no one will watch our pets as well as feed them. So, now, we lent our pet to my dad's friend. Lastly, and the most important, we went to the beach, specifically, Boracay! lol. I really craved for the beach lately since it's so hot. It is known for its crystal clear water and powdery white sand. It's quite a long trip to get there. A 45-minute plane ride from NAIA - Kalibo International Airport. I know, the non-filipino readers can barely recognize the said locations. (sorry) Basically, Boracay island is located in Caticlan, Kalibo. Which is in Aklan.

After the plane ride, 2nd ride is a choice of a van or a bus going to Caticlan Jetty Port. We rode a van because it's more popular and easier to find. Travel time is 1hr 30mins. We got to the port at around 12:00 I think. Then a 15-minute boat ride to the Island.

We waited for 2hrs for the check-in time. It's at 14:00. While waiting, we walked around the beach and stalls. Then had lunch. It's a lot of walking because our hotel is at Station 1. It's a bit at the end. It's worth it because it's the best place in the island. We checked-in at this hotel.

We don't know that person. Haha. Anyway, the hotel looks simple outside but it's awesome inside. Here's a glimpse.

Unfortunately, our first day was quite stormy. A low pressure area was building up near the island. But, it wasn't a big loss because rain or shine, everyone can still enjoy the island. Obviously, we didn't go swimming on our first day because it was very windy and the waves were huge. Instead, we went shopping.


3 Shirts; 8 Keychains; 4 Bracelets; 1 Wrist Band; 2 Ref Magnets; 1 Mug

Shirts. It's the first thing a tourist will buy in every place. I actually bought 4 shirts in the island. All labeled with "Boracay". One is personalized. It says: "Michael ♥ Boracay".

Keychains. I'm a fan of keychains and I have a collection of them. I make it sure to buy keychains in every place I visit.

Bracelets. Apparently, I didn't know why I bought those. Haha. Silly. I don't know, it just popped up in my mind. lol.

Wrist Band. I also have a collection of these. Well, I can't call it a collection because there are only three of them. Haha. 2 from Singapore and 1 from Boracay. It's quite hard to look for these things.

Ref Magnets. Okay, my mother adores ref magnets. Why 2? We bought one for my godmother.

Mug. We also bought a mug. We have one big collection of these. We buy one for every place we visit.

We also rode the Banana Boat during our 2nd day.

We tried the Helmet Diving right after the Banana Boat ride. It is a 15-foot seafloor walk within 30 minutes. It's quite scary at first but the moment you touch the water, it will be fun. Here are some pictures.

My World: Finally..

I'm very excited now because tomorrow, we will be going home to Manila! :) We spent almost 2 weeks here at Cagayan de Oro and I badly missed home so much. lol. Ikr, 2 weeks isn't that long. haha. But, I really want to go home because since we left, there were many changes in the house. Wonder what are those.. And I will be bringing new decorations in my new room! Lmao. My room looks so plain and dull. Now, It's going to be livelier. Plus, I miss my parents :( They decided not to leave for the province because of my mom's work. And my dad can't go because my mom will be left alone in the house.

It's been fun here at the province. It's cozy. It's not like your typical province. My brother and I temporarily stays here at my aunt's house within Xavier Estates Subdivision. It has many rooms so we don't take like much space in it. They make us feel very comfortable while within their responsibility. I feel a little bit awkward because they don't cook. Since she and her husband are the only one living in the house, they feel very lazy to cook. Instead, every meal, they buy food from resto's. Or we eat outside. I feel awkward maybe because I'm used to food cooked in the house. My father loves cooking.

This province doesn't seem like a province because it's getting very commercialized. Our place is very accessible to everything since we are in the center of the city.

There are many things we've done here. We went here 16 April and we also spent holy week here. We heard mass everyday since the holy week started and until it ended. We went to the Divine Mercy Hills everyday until His' feast day. It was enjoying. And it also opens a great opportunity for us to pray and feel God's presence within us.

Today, US President Barrack Obama officially announced bin Laden's death to the American People. I was quite relieved when I heard about it since a lot of my relatives are settled in the US. We all know that the existence of bin Laden was always a big threat to their country's national security, as well as to many more countries, because we live under US' shadow.

Osama's hiding was ended today. He was the one responsible for the known September 11 terrorist attack that broke down the famous Twin Towers of the World Trade Center. I known so much of the said incident because my mother used to live in the US. And she, on the spot, witnessed the disaster from blocks away the structure. According to her, she saw people jump off the 110-story tower. That was very terrible. It isn't a small thing to see people jump off a building for their lives.

The Twin Tower was destroyed by 2 consecutive American Airlines flights' impact to both towers. American Airlines Flight 11 and American Airlines Flight 175 respectively. I completely idolize air transportation and that attack served as an eye-opener for me. I always thought of air transportation as the safest way of travelling because that's where I grew up. Both my parents worked in the airline industry. And I also dream of being a pilot someday. That incident didn't discourage my dream. It gave me more strength to pursue my dream.

I watched the movie "United 93", which is based on the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the Twin Towers, and I only felt one emotion throughout the whole movie. I felt very sad, not to the passengers of the flight but to the family they've left. I give complete salute to the passengers because they fought for their lives and for their country. They struggled to stop the terrorists' plan. I can say they were very brave. That was the only flight that was prevented on hitting the Pentagon, I think. I'm not sure if it really was the Pentagon that they're trying to hit because I watched the movie long time ago. But anyway, It doesn't matter what they're trying to hit. What matters is the bravery the passengers showed in the flight.

Osama bin Laden's death was a big relief to people all around the world. R.I.P. OSAMA BIN LADEN.

Opinion:

At first, I found the movie boring. When I watched the first part of the trailer, my first reaction was: "What's this about?" then I stopped it. I didn't even get to watch the "suspense" part. So, when we went to the moviehouse, we asked the cashier if what movie's the big hit. She mentioned another movie which apparently is not *mytype*. Then we asked her what about "The Roommate". She said it was suspense horror. It sounds great. Okay, that's our choice. The Roommate. I never thought it was suspense horror because I didn't finish the trailer and didn't see the horror part.

After seeing the movie. All my theories about it at first was changed. It wasn't boring, it's great. And I like the way it delivers the suspense. I like the idea of the whole thing. I like Rebecca being psycho. I like Jason being desperate. And so on. These are my favorite suspense parts in the movie: 1. Rebecca suddenly shows her self as Sara's roommate in their room. *thatshockedme*. 2. Rebecca kills the kitten in the dryer. 3. Rebecca removes Tracy's piercing in her bellybutton. 4. Rebecca stabs Jason pretending she was Sara. 5. Rebecca keeps Irene as a hostage.

That's it! I like the movie. :-bd Congratulations to the whole production. \m/

My World: I Propose to a New Me

This year for me was full of dash hopes. First, I can't go through a day without passing through a fight with my brother. I promised to myself everyday that I will not fight with him anymore. But, I can't help it. He's always picking up a fight. No matter how I run away or reject his mental invitation for it, he's just. UHH. It's kinda hard to explain it but I hope you get what I mean. You know, sometimes I dream of being the only child. I always think of it as a happy scenario. But, from what I see and hear. I know, it's sad. I am thankful I have a older brother like him. He saved my life once: We were in the beach. We rode a small boat towards a deeper part of the sea. We jumped one by one to see if we can swim on the deep. Unfortunately, I went into a quick sand and almost drowned. Believe it or not, my brother jumped out of the boat and helped me. Saving my life. That's why I'm very very very thankful to God for giving me a sibling. I regret those times that I always tell him that I don't like to be his brother and things like that. Second, me and my mother usually fight and have harsh conversations on each other. It always starts with my joke and she takes it seriously and, boom. There's the fight. I know it's a sin to talk back but. Yea. I know. I'm a bad son. But, I really want to change. I should be thankful to my parents instead of shouting at them and giving them bad faces. I don't want to grow up as a rebel. Third, I'm so disappointed that I didn't get the Merit Award last recognition day. This is about my studies. That's the prize I got because I lack effort in studying. I know that.

Even if it is not New Year, whatsoever. I like to change. I like to renew. What I said earlier, it's going to be the exact opposite. I'll be good to everyone. I'll focus on my studies. Not on anything else. This is a start of a New Me.

Newspaper Headline: The Royal Wedding

Just watched the Royal Wedding. I can't say anything. It was like, WOW. Nice. Elegant. Romantic (: . Obviously, many British people watched and even followed the procession to the Buckingham Palace. I like the way they show due respect to their Duke and Duchess. The wedding was planned beautifully. From the gown, chaise, church, guests, reception venue and everything. It went smoothly. Also, hats off to the security who maintained the calmness and peace in the historical Westminster Abbey. I wish I could go there soon and witness another Royal Wedding. I really wish. The 600 people who were permitted to go inside the reception were pretty lucky. Well, I'm sure those were part of the family, friends and others. And, I also noticed one thing. I was amazed on how the media was organized. I was more amazed on their camera's lenses. lol. They were also behaved (?). I mean, they weren't running from here to there just to get a nice angle of the newly-weds. Yes. I know, they weren't supposed to do that. I only appreciate the way they behave. About the gown, it was sooo elegant and simple. Its simplicity made it even more beautiful. It was designed by Sarah Burton. I'm sure it would be a great boost into her career. I'm thankful nothing bad happened like riots, stampede etc. I heard the police spread 3 000 men, I think to secure the place. So, good. CONGRATULATIONS TO PRINCE AND PRINCESS WILLIAM. :)

My World: Hello Summer!

I'm very excited to tell you guys how nice my summer's going to be. I'm at the province (Cagayan de Oro) now, visiting relatives as we always do every summer. I like it here because I feel very relaxed compared to being at home. Home's full of chores. lol. When we're here I feel like escaping all the hard work. I'm so selfish. IKR. Anyway, we got here last 16 April. And we'll go home on 5 May. On the said date, we'll pack things and prepare stuff we'll need in going to the beach. What beach? Boracay! Really excited not only because it is my first time to go there but also I know very well it's a nice place to go on a vacation. My mom already went there back in her maiden days together with some friends. It is also my Dad's first time as well as my brother's. I searched ways on how to go there from the airport and found these: 1.5hr-drive from Kalibo Airport to Caticlan Jelly Port; 15min-boat ride from Caticlan Jelly Port to Boracay. It feels tiring only hearing it. But, I don't care. lol. It's okay because after that long drives, it's gonna be the beach. Yea. Everybody's craving for the beach right now because it's really really hot. We'll stay there for 4days/3nights (8 May - 11 May) Yiee.. Really excited about it.
